Perspective Group and Photography Gallery is a not-for-profit, community-oriented cooperative whose purpose is to promote fine art photography. We represent and promote the work of our members by exhibiting their work in our monthly exhibitions. The members of Perspective Group and Photography Gallery bring a rich blend of experience and focus to the gallery. Members’ work has been shown at galleries, colleges, libraries and in publications and juried shows across the country. The artistic styles and techniques of the members include traditional film, digital, alternative processes, mixed media, collage and encaustic art.

In addition to our featured member-artist exhibitions, the gallery hosts other programs for our members, Friends of the Gallery and the community. Our programs include:

•  Perspectives on Photography: A quarterly guest speaker lecture series
•  Conversations with the Artists: Monthly artist talks
•  LENS: An annual, international, juried exhibition
•  Student Perspectives: An annual juried show for Chicago-area high school students.
•  Annual Invitational Exhibition: An exhibition featuring the work of Chicago area photographers
•  Member Critiques of work in progress
•  Quarterly Outings: Excursions to galleries and museums for members and Friends of the Gallery

Committees include: Gallery (scheduling, upkeep, installation), Public Relations (press, marketing, social media), Membership (review of applications), and Special Exhibitions (juried and curated exhibitions). Membership monthly dues are $75. Gallery membership is currently limited to 20 photographers.
